ADMINISTRATION

Form: AVEED is a long-acting testosterone undecanoate injection.

Dosage: The initial dose is usually 750 mg administered via intramuscular injection.

Injection Schedule:

  • Initial dose
  • A second dose at 4 weeks
  • Subsequent doses every 10 weeks

PROCEDURE

  • AVEED is administered as an intramuscular injection in the gluteal muscle.

MONITORING / SIDE EFFECTS / PRECAUTIONS

  • Regular blood tests to monitor testosterone levels.
    Periodic assessment of prostate health, red blood cell counts, and liver function.

Potential Side Effects:

    Serious: Pulmonary oil microembolism (POME) and anaphylaxis, which can occur immediately after injection and require immediate medical attention.
